3PL Warehouse Manager - NJ Location: New Jersey Salary: $120,000+ / year, based on experience Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced 3PL Warehouse Manager to oversee the overall operations and management of our New Jersey warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 3PL warehouse operations, e-commerce fulfillment, FBA, inventory management, WMS, and team leadership. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining inventory and order accuracy, managing warehouse teams, controlling operating costs, and ensuring high-quality service for multiple clients. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-oriented leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills. Key Responsibilities Overall Warehouse Operations Take full responsibility for daily 3PL warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and order fulfillment. Ensure warehouse operations are efficient, accurate, safe, and compliant with company standards. Develop and continuously improve warehouse SOPs, workflows, and operational processes. 3PL & Client Operations Management Manage daily operations for multiple 3PL clients and ensure customer-specific requirements are met. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure orders, inventory, and logistics information are accurate and timely. Monitor service levels and resolve operational issues quickly to maintain strong customer relationships. Inventory & Order Management Maintain high inventory accuracy and establish effective inventory control procedures. Monitor order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, on-time shipment rates, and customer service levels. Identify inventory discrepancies and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Team Leadership & Workforce Management Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse employees and supervisors. Establish team KPIs and performance standards to improve productivity and accountability. Manage staffing levels and labor allocation according to daily and seasonal business volume. Build a professional, efficient, and safety-focused warehouse team. WMS & Data Management Oversee the effective use of WMS and warehouse technology systems. Ensure accurate data flow between WMS, customers, transportation providers, and internal teams. Analyze operational data and prepare regular KPI reports for senior management. Cost & Productivity Management Monitor labor costs, warehouse expenses, productivity, and operational efficiency. Develop strategies to reduce unnecessary labor, overtime, storage, and operational costs. Establish productivity standards and continuously improve cost efficiency. Exception Management & Continuous Improvement Lead the investigation and resolution of operational exceptions, including inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, receiving issues, system errors, and customer complaints. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and applicable New Jersey and federal regulations. Monitor forklift safety, employee training, and warehouse safety procedures. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with transportation, customer service, sales, inventory, purchasing, finance, and overseas teams. Coordinate with China-based teams to ensure accurate and efficient communication of orders, inventory, and logistics information. Support peak-season planning and capacity management. Qualifications 3+ years of warehouse management experience, with strong preference for candidates with 3PL warehouse management experience. Experience managing a warehouse operation with multiple clients, high order volume, and fast-paced fulfillment requirements. Strong knowledge of 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment, FBA, B2B/B2C, and/or cross-border logistics operations. Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) with strong communication and cross-cultural coordination skills. 2+ years of team management experience, including supervisors, leads, and warehouse associates. Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory control, order management, and warehouse processes. Proven experience developing and implementing SOPs, KPIs, operational controls, and process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use operational data to make business decisions. Strong understanding of labor management, productivity, and warehouse cost control. Forklift operation experience preferred; forklift certification is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-changing 3PL environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing FBA, Amazon, Shopify, e-commerce fulfillment, or one-piece drop-shipping operations. Experience working with Chinese e-commerce, logistics, or overseas teams. Experience managing 50+ warehouse employees or a high-volume fulfillment operation. Experience with warehouse expansion, new client onboarding, or new facility start-up. Strong knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety requirements. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
