Purchasing Specialist JD Job Title : Purchasing Specialist Report To : US Purchasing Director Location: LA Employment Type: Full-time Start Date : ASAP Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join our team locally in the USA. This role will initially assist the US Purchasing Manager with daily purchasing operations, and after being familiar with the work, will gradually take charge of purchasing management for different product categories. We expect the candidate to have strong professional capabilities, good communication skills, and a proactive learning attitude to support the smooth operation of the company’s procurement and supply chain. Key Responsibilities Assist the Purchasing Manager in daily procurement work, including but not limited to supplier inquiry, quotation comparison, order follow-up, and delivery tracking, to ensure on-time and quality delivery of goods. Assist in sorting out procurement documents, organizing supplier information, and maintaining supplier relationships, laying a foundation for subsequent category management. Coordinate with internal departments (such as operation, warehouse, etc.) to clarify procurement needs, feedback procurement progress, and resolve simple coordination issues in the procurement process. Learn and master the company’s procurement processes, product knowledge, and supplier management standards, and gradually take over the procurement responsibility of designated product categories after being proficient in the work. Participate in supplier selection, evaluation and other related work as required, and assist in optimizing procurement costs and improving procurement efficiency. Accept business trips as required to complete procurement-related work (such as supplier visits, on-site coordination, etc.). Complete other procurement-related tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager. Requirements Education Background: Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management , Purchasing Management, Logistics Management is preferred; other related majors are also acceptable. Work Experience: 1-3 years of purchasing or supply chain related work experience; fresh graduates with excellent academic performance and relevant intern experience can also be considered. Language Ability: Strong English and Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, able to proficiently communicate with suppliers and internal teams in both languages, and handle bilingual procurement documents. Core Competencies: Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to effectively coordinate between internal and external parties; strong learning ability, able to quickly master procurement processes and product knowledge; proactive work attitude, strong sense of responsibility and execution. Other Requirements: Able to accept business trips as required; legally authorized to work in the USA (no need for the company to provide work visa sponsorship); able to start work as soon as possible. Preferred: Familiar with the US local procurement market and supplier resources; have experience in category management is a plus.
